The way people work has changed over generations. The era of 1920’s saw heavy typing machines making a lot of noise; then came 1970’s that had giant looking computers; post that innovation in computing was tremendous. The cloud phobia is fading away. CIO’s are looking more seriously into the economics of the Industry. Moving data to the cloud is no longer a thought to ponder on. Visit www.nvio.com to see how we can help you with hassle-free computing.
For Apple, iCloud seems to be the beginning. Tim Cook’s assertion that with 85 million sign-ups in three months, Apple is only getting started with iCloud. “It’s not just a product, it’s a strategy for the next decade,” Cook declared. But don’t forget, we complete your apple
Collaboration is an important aspect of this technology. Alfresco Team has a package of collaboration tools that can be quickly deployed for a small workgroup or pilot project, but one which can easily scale to fit one’s needs. It works well with the Alfresco Mobile tools for Apple iOS, which themselves open up entirely new ways for businesses to capture and use images and sound.
Bringing in more to technology, enterprise middleware player WSO2 has readied its StratosLive Java Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for market on the Google Apps Marketplace this month. With an emphasis on service-oriented architecture and composite application development, the product runs on the company’s own cloud middleware platform and is intended to give developers the option to provision from more than a dozen middleware services and pay only for what they use.
Trending in technology is also a report which says that games are decreasing in popularity while entertainment apps are on the rise. That’s interesting because we’ve come to think of the mobile gaming market as this booming space, which is defining itself as the top category driving mobile app download growth. But, based on Chomp’s data at least, this is only true for iOS. Over the course of the year, games became an increasingly large percentage of iTunes downloads, but have been decreasing on Android.
Come back tomorrow. There’s much more to know.
